We are pleased to announce that we will be hosting another exhibition at Banks Mill Studios.
The theme for our exhibition will be Trash! and the impact that we have on the environment and how we can make small changes to make the world a better place.
Stage Left Lux's life blood is in using old unwanted objects to repurpose them into creative lighting features. We take the stuff that some people would throw away and give it a new purpose. We also contribute towards minimising waste by repairing and restoring old broken lamps.
Our exhibition will be on display at Banks Mill Studios in Derby
from Monday 23rd September to Friday 11th October 2024
Join us on Friday 4th October at 6:30 for drinks and nibbles and meet Scott the creative behind Stage Left Lux - Banks Mill Studios, Bridge Street, Derby DE1 3BT
Keep reading to learn some eye-watering facts and figures about how much rubbish the UK sends to landfill every year...
Let's change that... Stage Left Lux contribute towards reducing waste to landfill by repurposing your old unwanted items. See our bespoke services for more information about how we can make a bespoke custom-made lamp out of your old things.
80 Million - that's 80,000,000
Lightbulbs are sent to landfill every year in the UK
222million - 222,000,000 tonnes of waste is produced annually in the UK
1.45 million - 1,450,000 tonnes of waste electrical appliances are thrown away a year by UK households and businesses.
Increasing recycling by just a few percent could divert hundreds of thousands of tonnes of waste from landfill.
Next time you go to throw something away, think about if it could be used for something else. Maybe reuse an old Pot Noodle pot for storing paint brushes in,
or a tin can as a plant pot!
Let's change that!
Our Mission is to repurpose, reuse and restore
In 2020, Stage Left Lux took on the mission to contribute towards reducing the amount of waste that we collectively send to landfill, by repurposing old unwanted objects into something new.
We do this by upcycling old objects into unique and quirky feature lamps and fixing and restoring old vintage and antique lights and broken light fittings to ensure that they can go on being used.
Thats recycling with a purpose.
