Banks Mill Studios is home to around 30 creative businesses, designers, artists and makers, on the first Saturday on every month we will be throwing open our doors and welcoming you to explore our studios and workshops.
Don't miss this fantastic opportunity for you to meet the makers, explore artwork on display in Banks Mill and treat yourself to some retail therapy with unique artwork, homewares and gifts made by Derby-based creators. Our first event was on Saturday the 1st of March 2025

Banks Mill is a business incubator and is home to around 30 independent crafts people artists and makers. Banks Mill Studios tailors to the needs of people working in creative industries, this includes, art & design, home decor, upcycling, upholstery, fashion, jewellery and more!

Is there parking nearby?
There is plenty of pay & display on street parking on Bridge Street & Brook Street, the cost for this is around £1 per hour.
Can I visit Banks Mill at other times?
Banks Mill Studios is not normally open to the public, but on the first saturday of each month we invite you to come and see us. If you wish to visit at other times during the month you would need to contact one of the business based at Banks Mill to arrange an appointment.
Does public transport go to Banks Mill?
Banks Mill is situated between Five Lamps and Ashbourne Road, where buses in and out of Derby City Centre pass by. It's around a 15 minute walk from Derby Bus station, and around a 25 minute walk from Derby train Station.
