Stage Left Lux can fix & restore

Scott Trelfa T/as Stage Left Lux, I can repair most types of modern or vintage lighting.

I have an NVQ in electrical engineering and a PAT qualification, with years of experience making lamps and light fittings and repairing vintage lighting.

I am able to carry out repairs to almost any style of lamp or light fixture including rewires, fit new plugs, switches and lamp holders (bulb holders), as well as sourcing replacement original parts or modern modern parts for vintage lights sympathetically in-keeping with the original style.

My second main passion in life is collecting art, antiques and general object d'art - I think the home should be a fun and exciting place to be. That's why I have opened my online shop Stage Left Lux to bring you a collection of unique upcycled lighting.

In my range you will a selection of lamps handmade by Stage Left Lux. I also offer a conversion service to turn any old household object into a feature lamp and design and build custom-made lighting.

At Stage Left Lux we offer a repair and restoration service for broken lamps and vintage & antique lights and light fixtures. We can fix, rewire and restore most types of light including, pendant lights, chandeliers, wall lights, desk & table lamps and floor standing lamps.

If you're near Derby you are welcome to bring your lamps to our workshop, if you're a little further away we are happy to accept lamps for repair in the post.

In five easy steps we can fix and restore your lamps & light fittings.

1) You've got a broken lamp

If you've bought an old vintage chandelier at an antique fair or if it's an old lamp that you inherited from your grandma, or it could be a modern lamp that you've knocked over and broken. We can fix, rewire and restore almost any type of light to bring it up to modern day electrical standards and get it working again.

2) Get in touch to discuss your repair

Tell us about your lamp, we'd love to know the story behind it, did you break it or was it broken when you bought it?

We can tell you how we can help to bring it back to life.

3) Send your lamp to our workshop in Derby

Pack you're lamp up and send it to us. Remember to include a note inside the box with your name and return address so we know who it belongs.

4) We will fix it!

We will sympathetically carry out any repairs that are needed, including replacement bulb holders, rewire, fit new plugs and switches and replace any missing or damaged parts.

All of the electrical parts that we use are quality components that carry CE (Conformité Européenne) & BS British standard, and will be rewired using cable that is in keeping with the style of the lamp.

Your lamp will be safety checked and undergo Portable Appliance testing to ensure that it is working correctly and safe to use.

5) We'll post your lamp back to you

After your lamp is repaired, we will securely package it up and send it back to you in the post using a fast recorded delivery service to ensure that it is insured and guaranteed to reach you quickly
